Metal (Type IV) |
Description/History:
Maxell's MX is probabaly the most
interesting of all the Metal Bias cassettes that
came on the market. I was introduced on the early
80's, and was selling really well since the
start. The MX even received the same casing
treatment as XLII-S in about 1985. It lasted
right up until about 1988-89, when it would
receive the round shell look. Mainly because
Metal cassettes didn't need that much protection.
Metal was always durrable. The MX left the scene
in the late 90's, and Maxell focused more on
CD-R's instead. |
