| Below are the latest updates to the
site. I keep the past 10 in the archives just in case you
have been gone for a while. |

I did another review of a
cassette. This time it's a Sony cassette. This review will
probably be the last one for the year. I'm going to be
doing more reviews come next year. My email is still active until I can change my email address and set up a spam filter. That should happen in December. In the mean time, put something like "BTG" or "TAPE" in the title box so I don't pass it by on accident. Just one more thing. My goal with this site is to be informative, but I don't know everything. I never claimed to be that knowledgable. I need you, the viewer of this site, to help me out. I see lots of sites out there that are pretty good. I still think mine is unique. It's not just a gallery, but a gallery with easy to find information. I'm not asking for money, just information. Please help this site to become a massive information source. Don't forget to email me. At this point I am in need of pictures right now, but I would like infrmation that could help the site.

Well, I got back from Anime Festival
Orlando (AFO) and had a blast. With nothing drawing near till next
year, I can do weekly or every other week updates on this
site. The only update I have done so far was to link Des-Lab's
reviews from this site. I talked to him and he said it was OK.
This update was supposed to be done yesterday, but their server
was down so I couldn't get the right link to attach to the
site. Also, keep the emails comming. I may have enough to bulid a TDK HX-S page thanks to some recent emails I got. I might just apply them to the CD Series page. So far, all that is left is to settle back down to a routine and just get this site built up bigger as I have been doing. Just one more reminder, if you DO email me, make sure you put something like "BTG" or "TAPE" or something in the title box so I don't think it's spam.

Another review has been
put up. I would like to work with "Des-Lab" of the tapeheads
forum to also see if he would like his most recent review
on this site so it woun't get lost on the usual forum
shuffle. As far as the emails go, they are now active, so the only way right now to combat the spam is that if you email me, in the subject box, put the word "TAPE" in all caps so I know it's not junk. I am still working on a captcha system or some way to finally get rid of all the stupid spam mail I keep getting. One subject made me laugh, "Kobe Bryant traded to the Clippers." LOL! I also realized that the Pic of the Month was not there. I never realized that the picture hasn't showed up! I will be putting up the August picture in its place since there's only a week and a half left to the month anyway. As usual, more reviews to come, as well as a couple of gallery pictures. I'll see you again in a week or two.

I finally got my review
on the Sony UX-S out. I also did some minor tweaking on
some of the links. I am working mostly on some of the
pictures I had received from people who emailed me in the
past. I might put them to good use. I would really like
some more pictures and scans to help build the picture
database. Pic of the Month will be put up tomorrow. I am kinda tossed as to what picture to put up there. I have like 3 in mind. You know eventually they will all make it up there. More reviews will be coming up as well. I plan to do about 1 or two more for the month. We'll see what comes of that. I also notice some reviews on the tapeheads website, which is good. I like reading them. I don't expect to post my actual reviews there, but I do still support the site. All of my reviews will be posted here. They are pretty simple as far as the format and maybe there will be a redo in my point system, but for now, it's what I am gonna work with.

Well, I actually got an
update in before I head off to Tampa. I had been working
on the Tape Review section's layout and what I wanted it
to look like for a while. Well, I just put one togeher in
minutes. Maybe I shouldn't think so hard next time. That section is up and beginning. I do have one tape listed that I want to test, but I have yet to actually do the recording. I think I'll do that after I get back from the convention. As for right now, I have the main page for the Test Reviews up and ready to go. The lone link doesn't go anywhere yet, but I did that so that it would be ready to go. There will be more tapes tested in due time. Main thing I have to do is come up with an easy-to-read format for the page of the actual review. I am looking towards next week to have that finished.

YAY, UPDATE TIEM! Well, it's that time again. Now, I have been working on a lot of things including some page and link layouts. I have been going over the main cassette company pages for a different layout. I have also extended the inner window for some pages. Next week, I am going to attempt to open up the e-mails again, but it will be different. Yes, this will affect all pages that have the email listed. I am working on a CAPTCHA system so I won't get so much junk e-mails. I'll be holding the e-mails until I get that somewhat implimented. So far, most of the updates are not actually visable because of the possible page re-layout. I did put up the Sony page and tweaked and updated each individual page's information header. Keeps things fresh. The overall asthetic of some of the pages are gonna be the same, just tweaked. More changes will come over the course of the month. One last thing. I will be gone for about a week in the middle of the month because of an anime convention I will be attending. I'll try to get something new put up either before or after I head out.

Hey folks, I know I
said I wasn't gonna do anything major till June, but I
did do one thing if you haven't noticed. I figured a new
logo as well as a completely new header was a good start
to a new era. I like it. I grabbed a photo from Flickr to
gather the perfect picture to gain the attention. I want
to give credit to this guy here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/statusfrustration/. He takes some
pretty cool photos utilizing cassettes as well as other
stuff. Very artsy. Also, as far as e-mails go, I am not taking any emails until I have moved in and settled. I am more concerned with building the basics of the site first. I will expenad on other things later. So far, that's about it. Again, I am working on a couple pages here and there, on top of packing. I might stop by again and do another minor update. Who knows. See you soon.

A lot has happened in
my life. I have mentioned it WAY too many times. I am not
gonna go on in too many details, but I will tell you that
my life has been hell for the past year or two. I am now
rebuilding. Rebuilding my life. Rebuilding interests.
Rebuilding my personality, which had been feeling bitter
lately. And most importantly, rebuilding this damn
website! I am in the process of moving into a new house, and with that comes a new era. I have set some new goals for myself which WILL be met! This site is in that set of goals and my interest in cassettes being rekindled. I have not and WILL not let this site die. I have joined a forum named TapeHeads.net and despite it being relatively new, is quite extensive. I finally decided to actually post to their forum after lurking for a good month. I'm looking to actually gain back my peers in the recordable media community. I posted, basically mentioning that I will also be bringing The BTG back to glory. Come the first week in June, expect an update. Not a massive one, I don't want to burn out trying to do too much at once (Plus, I still have to unpack my stuff which shouldn't take long). Just an update that will slowly build The BTG back to that glory I was mentioning. From there, a new era will begin for me with cassettes and the community I would like to get to know once again. I hope all of the people who still visit tell your friends and blank cassette fans alike to visit often. I'll be here for good. To the site itself, the only major thing I did was to create folders for Sony and Fuji cassettes. Other that that, I plan to do more in June.

I can imagine people
getting pissed off and such. I really never had the time
in 2008 to do anything with work and all. My hours were
all wacky. Don't get me wrong, I have never forgotten
about this site. I just never had the time to update it
seeing as that I haven't been into my collection or
bought anything new in over a year. The only exception
being a couple of thrift store finds here and there.
Other that that, tape collecting has gotten pricey lately
and I just don't have that kind of money which inspired
me to lose interest. Also, there really hasn't been too
much of an interest in tape collecting from others. The
past forums I have been 2 or so years ago don't really
seem to care. My interests have also changed this past year or so. I'm more into anime than I ever was. I've always been into it, but it's more dominant now. I have been building computers for a small profit for people. That's a favorite hobby of mine. My main concerns lately have been to pay bills and keep my bank account from dipping to the depths of despair. Especially in this economy, it's tough. The only thing I can do right now is just keep the site up and hopefully inspire someone to get into tape collecting or just do research. Once in a blue moon when I actually DO have time, I can go through and do some stuff to this site, but in the mean time, nothing. Again, THIS SITE IS NOT DEAD! It will continue to be up, with an occaisional update whenever. Right now, I'm not dealing with emails until I can devote time to answer questions. No promises here. So sit back, enjoy and maybe one day this site can rise once again.

Well updated the Photo
of the Month. E-mails will be answered this week. I've
had to make a decision to focus on what has been making
me money, and that is lots of OT at Disney, and video
projects that I am being commissioned to do. Now that the
video is done, and I took a couple of days vacation, I
can now do a small update on the site. See you next week.
